“ … a comprehensive course that gave me immediately-usable resources that improve every aspect of our fund raising effectiveness …”
Nonprofit Consultant (Washougal, WA)
I was the typical do-it-all executive director for 5 years; currently consulting assisting non-profit organizations with grant writing, leadership and board development, fundraising and events. I have successfully raised over$100,000 in through smaller grant/funding opportunities.
Before taking this training with Maryn, I had maneuvered the grant world on my own to successfully receive grants. Experience taught me some of the basics but my organization was not fully prepared to approach larger funders.
Now after completing the course, I have the refined tools to plan, draft and finalize my grant proposals in a much more comprehensive manner. I am prepared to approach funders for more significant support. Everything from the budget planning, to the case statement development, and the real-life examples we worked through allowed me to see components of grant writing in a whole new framework.
My goal in taking the "Grantsmanship" course was to improve on my grant writing skills. What I received was far greater! Her dynamic style kept me engaged each week. The workbook provided me with reference information when I draft that next proposal. And the follow up conference calls allowed us to delve deeper into specific challenges and examples. I learned a great deal from Maryn and the other participants who asked different questions than what I was currently dealing with.
This program has also provided me with a better structure for guiding the board in their vision and strategic planning.
Maryn’s program is a comprehensive course that gave me immediately-usable resources that improves every aspect of our fund raising effectiveness. The tools and planning templates Maryn provided are practical and concise. The online format was unlike the passive delivery style of most online programs. The interactive questions, practice exercises and Q & A allowed for personalized attention and immediate application of the concepts.
